British International Investment (BII), is the development finance institution of the UK government. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is responsible for the organization and is the sole shareholder.
Feature Studios produced a documentary for BII where we covered how WorldLink is connecting communities in some of Nepal’s most remote areas. In 2019, BII invested $12m into WorldLink to expand access to the internet across rural Nepal. In March 2023, they announced an additional $8.4m investment, alongside a $6.9m investment from Dolma Impact Fund II.
